How to Get the Cel Skin in Fortnite

Two ways to get the Cel Outfit

Both routes come from Epic's official End of Abyss FAQ. The FAQ does not state the Item Shop price; the V-Bucks figure is from Beebom.

Who qualifies for the free outfit

• Pre-purchases and purchases both count. Epic says any pre-purchase or purchase of End of Abyss on the Epic Games Store grants the Cel Outfit.
• Buying after launch still qualifies. The offer lasts as long as End of Abyss is on sale on the Epic Games Store. Epic has not announced a cut-off date.
• PS5 and Xbox purchases are not listed. The FAQ only names the Epic Games Store. Buying the game on PlayStation Store or Xbox Store is not described as granting the outfit.
• The outfit follows your Epic account, not the device you play on. See the console section below.

How to get the Cel skin by buying the game

1. Open the Epic Games Store app or website and sign in with your Epic account.
2. Search for End of Abyss and open its store page, which lists the Cel Outfit as a gift with purchase.
3. Buy the game.
4. Play Fortnite on the same Epic account. On console, connect that console account to your Epic account first.
5. From October 1, 2026 at 8 PM ET, the Cel Outfit is in your Fortnite Locker.

Prices on every store are compared in the pre-order and buying guide.

How to buy the Cel skin in the Fortnite Shop

You don't need End of Abyss for this route. Epic says the Cel Outfit is purchasable separately in the Fortnite Shop from October 1, 2026 at 8 PM ET. Beebom's steps:

1. Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop.
2. Find the End of Abyss Cel Outfit.
3. Select it, then press and hold Purchase.
4. Equip it from your Locker.

If you buy it here and later buy End of Abyss on Epic, you receive V-Bucks instead of a second copy. See the V-Bucks rule below.

PS5, Xbox and Switch: account linking

An Epic Games Store purchase also puts the outfit in your Fortnite Locker on other platforms. Epic's FAQ says you must either be signed in with your Epic account on PC or mobile, or have connected your console accounts to your Epic account. You connect console accounts in your Epic account settings.

End of Abyss itself is on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. There is no Nintendo version; see Switch 2.

Already own the Cel Outfit? The V-Bucks rule

• If you bought the Cel Outfit in the Fortnite Shop and then make an eligible End of Abyss purchase on the Epic Games Store, you get a one-time grant of 1,500 V-Bucks inside Fortnite instead of the outfit.
• Epic notes that V-Bucks refunds only apply to outfits purchased within the last 12 months.
• If you refund End of Abyss on the Epic Games Store, you lose the Cel Outfit, or the 1,500 V-Bucks grant, if you got it through that purchase.

Launch date vs today's Item Shop

Confirmed: the Cel Outfit was first granted to Epic buyers, and put on sale in the Fortnite Shop, on October 1, 2026 at 8 PM ET.

Not confirmed: whether it is in the Item Shop today. The shop rotates, and Epic has not published an end date for the listing. Beebom expects it to rotate out later in October. Check the Item Shop in game before you plan around it.

The Epic Games Store gift works differently. It does not depend on shop rotation and lasts for as long as End of Abyss is on sale on the Epic Games Store.

Outfit not in your Locker?

Check the conditions Epic lists in its FAQ:

• The grant starts on October 1, 2026 at 8 PM ET.
• Fortnite must be on the Epic account that bought the game, or your console account must be connected to it.
• If you already owned the outfit, look for 1,500 V-Bucks instead.
• A refunded purchase removes the outfit.

The FAQ does not cover other cases or give troubleshooting steps. For anything else, contact Epic directly.

What the outfit looks like

According to Beebom, the outfit matches Cel's look in End of Abyss, with her futuristic diving suit, round diving helmet and a weapon holstered on her right leg. Read more about the character on the Cel page.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Cel skin free?

It comes free with a purchase of End of Abyss on the Epic Games Store. Without the game, you buy it in the Fortnite Shop.

Does buying End of Abyss on PS5 or Xbox give the Cel skin?

Epic's FAQ only lists Epic Games Store purchases. PS5 and Xbox players can buy the outfit in the Fortnite Shop.

Can I still get it after launch?

Yes, through the Epic Games Store, for as long as End of Abyss is on sale there. The Item Shop listing depends on rotation.

Do I keep the skin if I refund the game?

No. Refunding removes the Cel Outfit, or the 1,500 V-Bucks grant.
