What is End of Abyss?
End of Abyss is a top-down sci-fi horror action-adventure from Section 9 Interactive, a Malmö studio founded by former Tarsier Studios leads who worked on Little Nightmares. You play as Cel, a combat technician exploring a sprawling, abandoned underground facility full of twisted creatures.
Progression follows Metroidvania rules: sealed corridors open as you gain new tools, your Scanner reveals hidden areas and weak walls, and materials from enemies feed a crafting system for ammo, gear and permanent upgrades.

No. End of Abyss is not on Steam and has no Steam store page. On PC it is sold only on the Epic Games Store for $29.99, because the game is published by Epic Games Publishing. Neither Section 9 Interactive nor Epic has announced a Steam version.
No. End of Abyss has not been announced for Nintendo Switch 2 or the original Switch. The confirmed platforms are PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Epic Games Store). When asked about Switch 2, co-founder Mattias Ottvall said there are no plans at the moment, though the team likes Nintendo's platforms.
No official physical (disc) edition of End of Abyss has been announced for PS5. The official website, the PlayStation Store and the publisher press release describe only a digital release on October 1, 2026. On PS5 you buy it as a digital download from the PlayStation Store for $29.99, or $26.99 with PS Plus before launch.
No official playtime has been announced, and player completion data won't exist until after the October 1, 2026 launch. The developers have said the game "isn't all that short." Press demos covered about 30 minutes of one area, and respawning enemies, trial-and-error difficulty, backtracking and hidden secrets will all add time.
