PS5 trailers
PlayStation audiences first saw End of Abyss in June 2025, when the PlayStation channel posted the reveal trailer. It showed top-down gunplay in an underground facility and a massive underground bridge, with an eerie voice saying: "To the one who hears this message, we are waiting for you."
In June 2026, the PlayStation channel also posted the release date trailer that confirmed October 1. Both trailers are almost entirely visual, with no spoken dialogue captions.
What you are buying on PS5
End of Abyss is a single-player top-down twin-stick sci-fi horror game with Metroidvania progression. You play as Cel, a young combat technician exploring an abandoned underground compound. The PlayStation.com page highlights Scanner-based exploration, gear upgrades and tools that open sealed corridors.
It is made by Section 9 Interactive in Malmö and published by Epic Games. The Fortnite Cel Outfit bonus only applies to purchases on the Epic Games Store, not to the PS5 version.
