No. End of Abyss is PS5 only on PlayStation. The PlayStation Store lists the platform as PS5, the developer's website names PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Epic Games Store), and no PS4 version has been announced. There is no Xbox One version either. If you only have a PS4, the realistic options are a PC that meets the modest minimum specs (GTX 1060, 8 GB RAM) or a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
What the PlayStation Store lists
| Platform | Available? | Where |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 | Yes, US$29.99 | PlayStation Store |
| PS4 | No | Not listed on any store |
| Xbox Series X|S | Yes, US$29.99 | Xbox Store |
| Xbox One | No | Not listed |
| PC | Yes, US$29.99 | Epic Games Store only |
Every regional PlayStation Store page shows End of Abyss with Platform: PS5. Search results for "Abyss" on PS4 usually turn up other games with similar names, such as Abyss Odyssey, which is unrelated.
Why there is no PS4 version
Section 9 Interactive is a small Malmö studio making its first game, and it announced only current-generation consoles from the start in June 2025. Section 9 has not explained the choice publicly. The game's minimum PC spec is modest, so it is not clear that hardware alone rules out a port, but nothing points to one being in development.

Will End of Abyss come to PS4 later?
Nothing has been announced. The developer's post-launch messages so far are all bug-fix patches (1.012 to 1.016). Treat any "PS4 release date" you see online as unconfirmed. The same goes for Switch 2 and Steam.
Cheapest ways to play if you have a PS4
- A PC you already own. The minimum is a GTX 1060-class GPU, 8 GB RAM and a 5.29 GB SSD install. Check the system requirements.
- Xbox Series S. The cheapest current console that runs it, at the same US$29.99 price. See End of Abyss on Xbox.
- PS5. If you plan to upgrade anyway, the PS5 version adds DualSense haptics. See End of Abyss on PS5.
Buying on PC through the Epic Games Store also gives you the Fortnite Cel Outfit, which you can use in Fortnite on PS4 by linking your accounts. See the Cel Fortnite skin guide.
